Bio: Ryan was ten years old the first time he sat behind a drum kit. From playing on garbage cans to pots and pans, he got a summer job to save up enough money to buy his very own set of drums.  He began playing in the New Brunswick music scene in 2010 and has played as far as Australia.  He is currently playing drums for rock band Wicked Vices and indie folk artist Kylie Fox.  His band was nominated for Rock Artist of the Year in 2015 through The Music New Brunswick Association, and became an endorsed artist with Los Cabos Drumsticks in 2016.  His band will be releasing a full-length album in 2021.

With a Bachelor of Education and four years volunteering teaching drums at a local middle school, Ryan has the expertise and passion to accompany his teaching practices.  He also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Kinesiology and just recently completed his Masters in Business Administration in spring 2021.  He currently works as a marketing director in the music industry while teaching drums in his spare time. 

Outside of music and school, Ryan loves to play hockey, exercise, spend time with his family and friends, and watch movies.  Ryan is extremely passionate about his instrument and his craft, he knows what it takes to improve, and he possesses the skills to keep you motivated and engaged.  He’s been playing drums for over twenty years, and still feels like a kid every time he sits behind the kit.
