Phil started the drum when he was 15 years old in high school when he discovered KISS and Led Zeppelin. Then he went on to pursue his learning process at the Cégep régional de Lanaudière in Joliette where he studied drums with Ronald Faucher and percussion with Normand Hervieux. For the next 15 years, he played bars and festivals with different cover and tribute bands. When he turned 40 he decided to give himself a gift and started more drum lessons this time with Stephane Chamberland. Steph teached him the Moeller technique and all of the books he wrote with Dom Famularo. Beside his lessons with Steph, Phil is also taking lessons with Anika Nilles and will take part in Benny Greb's drum camp in the US.
All theses techniques helped him with his personal teaching at the school he owns with his girlfriend, le Centre Musical de Lanaudière.
